Aurum Artificer

Submission for the GameTV 2021 Game Jam.

Use the artificer to fire protons and neutrons to make gold and heavier nuclei. Just try to find a good balance between the number of protons and neutrons or the nuclei will decay. The heavier the nucleus you make and collect, the more you will score. Bonus for making gold!

Uses real properties of all the elements and their isotopes from Hydrogen (1 proton) to Oganesson (118 protons).

Use the gamepad to control the artificer, shoot bullets of protons and neutrons, and collect nuclei. Shooting costs energy, but regain energy slowly over time or by collecting electrons or from the effects of a positron colliding with an electron.

Controls:

• Gamepad:
  • Right Trigger: Hold down for charged fire. Press for normal fire.
  • A Button: Quick fire
  • Right Stick: Move
  • Left Stick: Aim
  • Left/Right Bumpers: Switch bullet
  • Left Trigger: Brake
  • Escape or Start: Pause
• Keyboard & Mouse
  • Right Mouse: Hold down for charged fire. Press for normal fire.

  • WASD: Move
